My name is John Kageleiry and I am owner, principal and chief planner for Verium Planning and Asset Management. I help people plan effectively for retirement and other financial needs and act as the main support in reaching their goals. I bring with me over 15 years of financial services and planning experience to best support the people who choose to work with Verium.
My practice reflects the values I hold and what I believe works best: honesty, simplicity, discipline, low costs and optimism. I work as a Fiduciary so your needs must always come first. The name of my company, Verium, is a mix of 2 latin roots and means “a place of truth”. These are values I believe in and will serve people well.
After spending almost 17 years in a big financial services company I decided to start my own firm. I did this because I felt people needed a better way to plan for their goals and pay lower costs for the help they needed. I am motivated by the idea of sharing what I know to help people overcome the stress and mistakes that come with deciding how to best take care of their money.
I am an active writer and regularly post blog articles on various investment and planning topics. I have play guitar for 36 years and also write music and lyrics. I am an avid reader of fiction, biographies, history and financial topics.
I am a community focused person and sit on the Board of Directors for the Dover Children's Home.
I live in Dover, NH with my wife Lin and our 2 kids. I grew up in Dover but have also lived in Boston, San Francisco and New York City, where Lin and I met.
